Telepractice:

All the benefits of high-quality in-person speech therapy without leaving your home

telepractice speech therapy

Telepractice options are available for all consultations as well as aphasia and voice therapy.

What is telepractice?

With telepractice, we still meet face to face, with a secure connection. We will be able to see and hear each other, as well as screenshare.  We will use visual supports (handouts, pictures, websites, even apps) to help understanding and will conduct the session as though we are in the same physical space. Telepractice offers all the benefits of 1:1 therapy while saving travel, time, and providing access to high quality speech therapy. If you have a high speed internet connection, we can almost always offer this option.

Does it work as well as in-person therapy?

Research shows that the results provided by interactive telepractice are as effective as in-person therapy.  As a telepractice provider, I utilize specialized techniques adapted to telepractice to ensure the quality of therapy is not compromised.

Each client's needs will differ, and I am dedicated to adjusting my process to meet your specific needs.

State law requires the SLP be licensed in the state where the client is located.

But what if I don't like it?

If we try telepractice and the mode isn't a good fit, there is no obligation to continue treatment and I will help to find alternatives.  It’s so important to me that your loved one and your family feel guided, cared for, and supported throughout our time together. Working through the frustrations that come with communication breakdowns, like in aphasia, is difficult but worthwhile work, and I want you know you’re not alone, every step of the way.
